INSIDE OF A NUTSHELL:
It would be a normal day in the jungle. It would be very normal but in a jungle bar, not to far away, two people and a rock gather to have jungle beer. This is all fine until Christopher Walken's character, an old man who is quite unusually strong for his age, blurts out something about jungle-booty and a wild African who puts out. A race across the jungle for this woman is formed. Image below:
OUTSIDE OF A NUTSHELL:
Well, I didn’t think that I would say this… but McG has directed a good movie. He followed up his Charlies Angels duo with this quite greener, jungular film. Fans may find that it doesn't work without edited out nudity that Charlies Angels 2 was so rewound for, but then again, there is a jungle-shower scene with a Rock that females may be interested with.
“Bulls, guns, whips, gold and one sacred cat”, the poster to, “Welcome to the Jungle”, proudly exclaims. I, however, travelled into a cinema, twelve states away from my house, thinking that I would be in for a serious drama much like American History X. As the movie played, I began to understand that I wasn’t watching a racial drama, but rather I was watching a quirky story with comical mishaps and one sacred cat.
I must say that as the result of this movie, I have a large, and unusually homoerotic, respect for Christopher Walken. Teens fell in love with him, all around the world, all because of his efficient, multi-job workload. He actually had two jobs on the set. First was to act as a character that he isn't too familiar with - the old man. Next, he had to play puppeteer to a fully automated rock. "It was more of a stone," Walken modestly exclaimed at the premiere. That was just before he started reciting sexy and ultimately perverse stories about Angelina Jolie in her childhood, confusing himself with John Voight, her father.
Many annoyed reviewers tried to watch the movie while Christopher Walken talked and talked, and aroused, and talked. That’s why most plot synopsises you will find may be very under detailed, or non existent at all. In fact: The Times spent 250 words on the lighting and the remaining four words on the plot. I personally went to several general public screenings, four of which Christopher Walken attended aimlessly, to get the full synopsis.
A nice – but ultimately dark brown haired - conman, Sean William Scott and a notorious, but also nice hit man (or bounty hunter for our French viewers), A Rock, played by Christopher Walken, end up in the jungle. They search for gold, rubber, some oil, the, ‘Kong’, which those villagers keep chanting for, and a beautiful black beauty. There will be a car crash, a downhill roll, guns, whips, gold, a beautiful African woman's booty and one sacred cat. By sacred, I mean it shits everywhere.
