I have been watching the Discovery Channel on our friend, Foxtel. I stumbled across an odd show about the supposed obsession that everyone has with Lara Croft. Everyone they interviewed was British, so that might go toward explaining a bit. However, let me quote:
"My husband took a whole week off work to sit down and play Tomb Raider. He has never taken a week off to be with me, so I don't know what to suspect." And get this: "I pretend that I'm into Tomb Raider so that we can be doing something together."
Tomb Raider is also responsible for a top soccor goalie's bad form in a crucial game. He had been staying up all night, playing Tomb Raider, and he had let a few goals through, and nearly got fired.
We have people who dress up like Lara Croft for money, and people who dress up like Lara Croft recreationally. This is hilarious. Lets talk about video game addiction. I think its a subject that needs to get out in the open.

But seriously, the fartherseerest I got toward Tomb Raider addiction was finishing the first four games, and getting two minutes into the latest one before turning it off, pissed off at how crap come hard it was.
But Morrowind... now that's another thing. The idea behind Morrowind is that you live a life, getting whatever jobs you want, travelling wherever you want, and it is damn realistic. I haven't been able to put it down, and to this day, have spent forty odd dollars on hiring and rehiring it at the video store.
